摘要Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) are firms that provide and manage a full scope of inte-grated logistics solutions. Such logistics solutions encompass offering not only transporta-tion services, but also value-added services like warehousing, inventory management, re-labelling, packaging, clearing and forwarding, and other things. Most of the LSPs are inter-national firms, which use a wide range of organizational arrangements, going from arm’s length to fully owned enterprises, in order to expand and perform their activities at an in-ternational level. In general, a single LSP uses more than one organisational mode for car-rying out foreign operations, forming networks and constellations with other firms. The question is why do LSPs favour one organizational model over the other to expand their worldwide business portfolio?
